Facility & History

Located in the beautiful rolling farmland of central Alberta, Balmoral Golf Course welcomes all levels of golfers. When Scottish settlers established homes here, they thought it looked so much like the Balmoral region in Scotland that they chose this for their district name. When the course was started in the early 1960's, this tradition was continued in the name of the course. The course opened in 1963 sporting 9 holes and sand greens. Eventually, the course was expanded to 18 holes and grass greens.  This family business has seen many changes over the years and just gets better and better. The course has evolved greatly over the decades and has matured into a beautiful course. The philosophy of the design is to remain challenging for the seasoned golfers but forgiving enough for the beginner.

Our feature hole is the par 4 eleventh. It is part of the original nine holes and has a deep gully right at the 150 yard marker. This 359yard hole features a tricky green surrounded by trees.

Our fourteenth hole is a close second for the signature hole, a long par 4 at 430 yards. The green sits tucked neatly behind a bunker and has water behind it.
